Action Parts of Sentences By Cheryl M. Hamilton Grade 1

Review  A sentence is a group of words that tells a complete idea.  A sentence begins with a capital letter.  A sentence ends with punctuation.  period  question mark  exclamation mark

Remember  The naming part of a sentence does two things:  It names a person, place, animal, or thing.  It tells who or what the sentence is about.

 A sentence has an action part.  It tells what a person or thing does. Action Part
