Grading Scale 100%-90%= A 89%-80%= B 79%-70%= C 69%-60%= D 59%-0%= F Grades will be a combination of tests(25%), quizzes(15%), classwork(35%), and homework(25%).

Science Fair Projects MANDATORY! Rubric will be given out next class period Will be due at the end of October Going to be 10 grades (divided between categories) this quarter

Classwork/Homework Classwork will be graded and needs to be complete and on time for full credit (same thing for homework) All late assignments will be docked a letter grade  Ex. Turn it in next class for a B instead of an A; or two classes later for a C instead of a B, etc.  I will not accept assignments beyond 2 class days late All homework must be turned in to the drop box at the beginning of class otherwise it is late I will NOT tolerate cheating, it will result in an automatic F for that assignment

Absences Make-up work will only be given for excused absences You must request make up work, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to keep track of the assignments you’ve missed Missed labs will not be made up; if excused the grade will be replaced with a research paper

Classroom Rules Be in your seat and ready to work as soon as the bell rings You MUST park your cell phone (turned off) in the cell phone parking as you enter the room Bring you materials to class everyday Room must be clean before you leave at the end of each class period (especially lab days) All school, and laboratory safety rules must be followed Remain in your seat until the bell rings at the end of the period
