The Road to Success

Build your team Develop your team Meet regularly Communicate with your industrial partner Monitor progress internally and with E.V.

“ excellent induction programme for both new assessors and candidates…” “ well prepared candidate statements to be countersigned by translator/scribe where necessary” “well prepared internal verification strategy, procedures and policies.” “good recording of regular minutes of meetings relating to award, standards and strategies.” “good assessment planning with assessment methods, checklists, observations etc.” Mr. Iain W Percival. January 2011

“Over the past two years our organisation (United Biscuits UK) have been working in partnership with Motherwell College The service that the college have provided has been excellent We work a 24hour operation on site and assessors have been willing to come in to cover all shifts ensuring no employee was denied the opportunity to achieve the qualification. This improvement in knowledge has also led to a marked improvement in staff morale, which we consider to be extremely important. The fact that our employees have improved their knowledge is also fundamental to the success of the site and we consider the MA very important in terms of improved efficiencies” David Viola Site Training Coordinator

Ann Marie Meek Training Officer Lightbodys Celebration Cakes We have found that having tutors from Motherwell College on site has meant that we have little disruption to our day to day activities and this has given our employees a significant benefit in providing the support that they need to complete their SVQ’s.

A thank you to Skills Development Scotland for their continuing support in our MA funding allocation and in particular Damien Yeates.
