Paper was special to China and now it is special still but it is special to us because when we what to write to our friends how would we? Well maybe we could write to them on our IPods but back then we didn’t have IPods so we had to do the old fashion way today we still use the old fashion way because if you go to a sleep away camp then you have to write to your mom and your dad. But that is besides the point this article about paper and why the Chinese made it.

How the Chinese made Paper The Chinese made paper because they didn’t have any electronics, then what would they use? Also when the Chinese made paper it had to sit for over a year. How the Chinese made the paper was they would cut done bamboo strips and then the bamboo would have to sit and it had to sit in cold weather so it would harden. After that what they would do is again let it sit but in warm water but only for about three minutes. Then the last thing you should is pound the material into the shape you would want. Oh I almost forgot you have to let the paper dry but you have to let it dry for a long time.

Paper Making Paper was the first invention in China. Without paper today, we wouldn’t draw, write or make things. Paper is some thing everybody likes. Paper was made with silk rags, mulberry bark, bamboo, and hemp. They were mixed in a large square bowl and soaked in water. It was boiled, mashed and pounded to form pulp. You take the screen and press the screen to remove the water. When the screen had a sheet of paper it was hang up on the wall to dry. Paper was special because when the Mongolians tried to get the paper but, The great wall protected the paper.

Paper being special Paper was special because when the Mongolians wanted to get though the Great Wall they wanted to get paper. The Great Wall protected paper from the Mongolians because they wanted it. Warfare and Defense protected paper too. The Mongolians wanted paper to draw, write and make things.

Painting the Pictures When China wanted to paint they wanted to paint but when we paint don’t we use real paint? When China paints they used INK!!!!!!!!!! When the Chinese used ink normally they would use black and red, they used those colors until they developed colors like blue and green. The ink was important because 1) because it was very delicate and 2) because that was the only material they had to make a color. Also the painting was called Chinese brush painting.

Making the things we need In China people did not have all of the materials they needed so this is how they got it. Sometimes people in China people would go to a super market or the deli and buy the things they would need like food and water, when China had things like toilet paper it looked different very different and it also it felt different it felt different because 1) it was made out of rice straw and 2) because back then was back then and things were very different. Also if you look at something like a pencil it will say “made from China” that means the Chinese took out there time to make the things for us and for them while we play so I want you think about that the next time you see the sign saying “made from China” and think about how much time in our day the Chinese take time working so hard and getting cuts and bruises that sometime we should be getting because be getting because the Chinese work so hard but even know we work so hard they do most of it. So I want you to think and think hard.

Books and Trade In the Chinese city, books were traded at the end of the Tang dynasty. Books were traded for many things. Trading was important because people needed to get what they wanted. When people wanted paper they traded them food or silk. Books were traded and more things were traded.
