Property of OAOI, INC., Copyrighted, Dec 2008 Our History The Dressing for a Blessing Program is one of many outreach programs, founded by Mrs. Robbie Bible of Open Arms Outreach International Inc. The program was founded in Clayton County, in 1996 and now proudly serves the entire state of Georgia with major outreach needs. Three major anchor programs are Warm Blankets for the Homeless (provides blankets twice in the winter months) ; Washing My Sister’s Feet (provides everyday clothing and needs for single parent households) and The Dressing For a Blessing Program (provides professional clothing for individuals actively seeking employment through a government agency.

Workshops and lunches Self empowerment events Unique Boutiques, for emergency professional clothing, are located in some locations.

Our Goal To build self esteem and bring a feeling of wholeness to every client by letting them know that they are important and loved during their time of transition.

Property of OAOI, INC., Copyrighted, Dec 2008 Program Requirements Client must be in pursuit of employment and listed with and agency such as The Dept. of Labor, a staffing agency or employment organization. Client can also be a part of a career programs such as, Schools of Technology, Job Corp, High School Work-base Learning Program.

Property of OAOI, INC., Copyrighted, Dec 2008 Step 1 Client must ask to speak with a representative at their location to sign up. Client must sign in and then complete and return the application

Property of OAOI, INC., Copyrighted, Dec 2008 Step 2 Client returns application and it is checked for completion. Clients information will then be entered into the database. Then shopping begins for and outfit to fit the client.

Property of OAOI, INC., Copyrighted, Dec 2008 Step 3 Once and outfit is found in the size and look for the client, he is contacted by mail. Client is ask to call and confirm his need for clothing and the size listed. Client is assigned a pickup time. If client does not pickup the outfit or make arrangement to do so, the outfit goes to the next person on the waiting list and a “no show” code is entered beside clients name.

Property of OAOI, INC., Copyrighted, Dec 2008 Final Step Client shows up at appointed time to pick up clothing. Clients signs form to acknowledge pickup. Client leaves with clothing. Client can apply again in 6 months if he still has not found gainful employment. Clients are also ask to send us a success report by once they find a job.
