What do ref. verbs look like? In the infinitive form, verb ends in –se (reflexive pronoun RP) ◦ Ejemplos: lavarse afeitarse When conjugated, the RP moves in front of the verb and agrees with the subject. ◦ Ejemplos: Me lavo (‘yo’ RP & ‘yo’ form of verb) Te afeitas (‘tú’ RP & ‘tú’ form of verb)
COMPARE and CONTRAST a reflexive and non-reflexive statement: REFLEXIVE: “Me despierto temprano los días de trabajo.” Non-REFLEXIVE: “Despierto a mis estudiantes cuando duermen en clase.
