All About Mrs. Chappell

Mrs. Chappell – 3 rd Grade Hello, I am Mrs. Chappell. I will be your third grade teacher this year. This slideshow will help you get to know me a little better. We are going to have an exciting year! Third grade is a blast.

How long has Mrs. Chappell been teaching? This will be my tenth year to teach in Mobile County and my fifth year at O’Rourke. I have taught 2 nd, 3 rd, and 5 th grade in the past.

Is Mrs. Chappell married? I have been married for eleven years. My husband and I love to do things together! We both do many things at our church! We are super busy!

Does Mrs. Chappell have any children? No kids yet. The only children I have are my wonderful students!

Does Mrs. Chappell have any pets? Yes, I have one big baby. I have a yellow lab named Bo. He is so sweet and lovable. He loves to eat everything in sight. I also have a 2 year old lab named Buoy.

Where is Mrs. Chappell from? I am from Mobile, Alabama. I have lived here my entire life. I live going to the beach, so Mobile is a great place to live.

Who is my husband? My husband’s name is Wesley. I love him with all my heart. He loves to fish, hike, scuba dive, spear fish, and work at the church.

Who are Mrs. Chappell’s parents? This is my mom and dad. Their names are Tom and Susie Hartmann. I love them and are so glad they are my parents. Mr. Hartmann will be helping us in our classroom this year!

Does Mrs. Chappell have any brothers or sisters? I have one brother and two sisters.

How long did Mrs. Chappell go to school? I have been to school my entire life. I actually finished school this past summer. I am now Dr. Chappell. I have a doctorate in education.

Does Mrs. Chappell like teaching? I love teaching third graders. Third grade is fun and exciting.

Is Mrs. Chappell nice? These are some of the kids that I’ve taught in the past. Don’t they look happy? They had a lot of fun and learned a lot in third grade. You might even know some of these kids.

What does Mrs. Chappell do for fun? I love to spend time with my family and friends. I enjoy scuba diving, fishing, traveling and helping those in need.

Do you have any fears about this year? That is quite normal. Even Mrs. Chappell has fears. I am terrified of heights, but a couple of summers ago I overcame my fear.
