Abraham Lincoln was born on February in Hodgenville, Kentucky. He fell in a creek and almost died. [A neighbor boy saved him] He gave a fish he caught to a passing solider. He was nine when his mother died. He was an expert with an axe. When 16 he was six feet tall! He loved to read about George Washington. He Left home at 17 Years old.

Lincoln became the president of the Untied States in On February 1861 the south creates a government and seizes Federal forts. On March 1861 Lincoln tries to end slavery without fighting. Blacks join the army to fight. Pickett’s charge was the bloodiest battle of American history. On 1865 Robert E. Lee surrenders his confederate army.
