Endocrine system

2. Glands that release products into the blood stream.

3. Glands

4. An organ that release products (hormones).

5. Exocrine

6. Release products through ducts directly to organs 6. Release products through ducts directly to organs. (sweat, tears, digestive juices)

7. Endocrine

8. Release products (hormones) into the blood stream.

9. Hormones

10. Affect the activity of cells.

11. Steroid

12. Made from lipids. Can enter a target cell and produce a dramatic change in the cells activity.

Abuse of Anabolic Steroids Steroids can make pimples pop up and hair fall out. make guys grow breasts and girls grow beards. cause livers to grow tumors and hearts to clog up. can send users on violent, angry rampages. can shorten their lives. For teens, guys can experience shrunken testicles and reduced sperm count. can also end up with breasts, a condition called gynecomastia. girls can become more masculine. Their voices deepen. They grow excessive body hair. Their breast size decreases. Teens at Risk for Stunted Growth Teens who abuse steroids before the typical adolescent growth spurt risk staying short and never reaching their full adult height. http://men.webmd.com/anabolic-steriods

13. Non-steroid

14. Are proteins, cannot enter a cell 14. Are proteins, cannot enter a cell. They activate an enzyme inside the cell.
