The SPOT Reports Assistant Commandant for Leadership Programs

Why we thought these were a good idea The Citadel Mission Statement To educate and develop our cadets to become principled leaders in all walks of life by instilling the core values of The Citadel in a disciplined and intellectually challenging way Codified in “A Guide for the Leader Development Program” Developed through College-wide approach Headed by Krause Center Sets strategic vision for the College Our office is charged with operationalizing the LDP TACs required to “seek out reports from faculty, staff, and coaches” to aid in certifying completion of class-specific learning outcomes Many leadership opportunities at The Citadel are not observed by TACs Club leadership, Religious groups, intramurals, intercollegiates, Academic teams/orgs

What we created SPOT Report PDF-fillable document stored on our webpage Tailored to address each pillar Military, Moral-Ethical, Physical, and Academic Sent via to respective TAC of cadets you observe

Your role Faculty plays huge role in development of cadets Not just academic The persistent nature of their exposure to you makes your relationship unique They look to you for examples of leadership outside norms of The Citadel “Each member of The Citadel community helps create and maintain an environment that models the Citadel’s core values and principled leadership” “Report excellent or substandard performance to TACs” Your impact on Citadel Mission and cadet development cannot be overstated Please provide this feedback as often as you see fit You will be greatly assisting TACs in providing more “complete picture” of cadets’ performance
