Definition “The case statement is a carefully prepared document that sets forth, in detail, the reasons why an organization needs – and merits financial support … In the context of “the case is bigger than the institution”, it documents its services, human resources, potential for greater services, current needs and future plans.” From the Glossary of Fund Raising Terms, a publication of AFP

In Short … The CASE relates your compelling need to the charitable intent of the prospective donor in a way that makes the donation logical and attractive. It is optimistic, rational, emotional, memorable and factual It must speak as much to the donor’s needs as to your own
