How to look for books in our library and how to find them? BOOK NUMBER (we call it ˝ signatura “ in Czech ) is a special code of the book. Books for external loan are in the gallery. Books in the ˝reference library“ can be used for your studying only in the library. They are sorted by subject and their book numbers have been marked ( striked through) by a pink stripe.

To borrow a book in our library you need an ISIC! (ISIC serves as your library member card). You can also use it for copying and printing using a pre-paid credit. (see Self-Service Copying and Printing below) (see Self-Service Copying and Printing below)

How many books can you borrow and for how long? You can borrow up to 10 items (books, documents etc., altogether from all the libraries of Palacký University). The books are lent usually for 30 days. You can renew this period twice.

Important Information Palacký University Library sends information (especially regarding reservations of books and the upcoming deadline of the loan period) only to university addresses. Penalties For every day that exceeds the agreed loan period you pay a penalty of 2 CZK per each borrowed item (book, document, etc.)

Self-Service Copying and Printing The credit bought in the Library of the Faculty of Physical Culture may be used within the whole Palacký University for printing and copying. 1 copy A4 = 1.20 CZK NOTE: Don‘t confuse with credit for meals in student dining halls!

Self-service copying and printing Printing in the Faculty of Physical Culture is available in the computer room. (on the same -4th- floor). You can also print using the computers in the Faculty corridors – just send the document to be printed to the copier machine on the 1st floor.
