Have a look at some of these mapping websites:

 Captain James Cook was one of the greatest explorers ever. Find out what you can about him. Where might you look? Other famous explorers are: Christopher Columbus The Vikings The Maori who arrived in New Zealand Thor Heyerdahl on his raft, Kon-Tiki. The Ancient Phoenicians

 Watch the presentation on this video clip and then use a map of the world or make a diagram to show all the different countries that help fill up your tummy! 

Write a poem or song that tells of your hopes for what you will discover Draw a cartoon or sketch yourself setting out with all your equipment Paint a picture showing the land you hope to discover or to explore
