Scottish Adult Learning principles learning should be lifelong, beginning in the early years and covering the whole age span of post-compulsory education adult learning should be life-wide covering the personal, work family and community aspects of living which gives scope for building a wide and open curriculum, not restricted by vocational imperatives adult learning should be learner- centred and built around the interests and motives of the learner.
