Famous People Edmund Quincy was an ancestor of two United States Presidents his grandson John Adams was the 2 nd president and his other grandson John Quincy was the 6 th president. He was born in Fishtoft in 1603 and went to live in America but died in 1636 aged 33. Herbert Ingram was born on the 27 th May He was famous for writing the first illustrated newspaper, he was also a politician and he was known for bringing fresh piped water into Boston Town and part of bring the railway to Boston. Important buildings The Maud Foster tower is a windmill that was built in 1819 for brothers Thomas and Isaac Rackit to grind corn.
