Black history month

 The Ebony fashion fair started in 1958 and ended in  The models of Ebony fashion were invited to the white house in 1961 by there director, Freda DeNight for dinner.

Paula Bond, was the first black woman crowned Miss California in 1979 for the Ebony fashion fair

Eunice Johnson in 1945 created Ebony and Jet Magazine. Eunice had loved fashion, she used this magazine for black self empowerment. Linda Johnson Rice, the Daughter of Eunice and John, said “She just wanted to prove there was no barrier to Black Beauty. She would put the brightest yellow or brightest orange on the most dark-skinned model she had.”
