YR 11 MATHEMATICS PARENT PRESENTATION
Presentation transcript:

Some guy wanted to become an ‘expert’ table tennis player. He trained 1 hour every day for 1 year. This is what happened…

Think about the following:  How good was he when he started?  How good was he when he finished?  How much did he improve every day?

What has this got to do with maths?

Until Maths Paper 1…  229 days  21 school weeks  21 x 4 = 84 lessons

Until next maths PPE…  PPE 2 = 22 days from now  PPE 3 = +71 days  PPE 4 = +36 days  PPE 5 = +32 days

What to aim for per paper: (out of 100 per paper) HigherFoundation A* = 85C = 75 A = 70 B = 50 C = 30

What do YOU need to do?  Improve your marks each PPE  Focus on those mistakes  Come to any intervention/revision sessions we offer

Until Maths Paper 1…  21 x 4 = 84 lessons  Improve: 1 mark per lesson Or 4 marks per week
