European Databases Management and Translations Office The Office - is liaising with the EP&EU institutions, IPEX, European Law Database, translations of EU related documents
Documents received by NPs Following Protocol No.1 TL, NPs will receive: a. EC consultation documents – White & Green Papers + Annual Legislative Program & any other policy or planning documents; b. Draft legislative acts – EC proposals, initiatives from a group of MS, initiatives from the EP, requests from the Court of Justice, recommendations from the ECB and requests from the EIB for the adoption of a legislative act; For transmission of documents – dedicated e- mail accounts
European Law Database Broad concept- repository of EU law draft documents Narrow use – ease filing, handling & use of (multilingual) documents Role – raise awareness, offer insight into EU process’, ease reference Construction – open access section / restricted for internal use
Future Developments of the System and Correlation with IPEX Automated notification of relevant Parliamentary Committees Clustering of documents into Dossiers/Thematic Files Extended array of variables/searchable Web-based Inter-parliamentary Cooperation: open/private forums, videoconferences, standard templates for documents, communication & publications
