Well known harbor for Europeans Freetown and entire peninsular became a British colony Entire country was declared independent Sierra Leone became a republic. First president- Siaka Stevens. Current president- Ahmad Tejan Kabbah Sierra Leone history is very unclear.

Sierra Leone`s economy Sierra Leone is extremely poor. Two-thirds of working people engaged with agriculture. Manufacture for the domestic market. Major source of hard currency -diamonds. Internal warfare. Aid from aboard.
