Presentation transcript:

The ultimate goal of all animals: to reproduce!!!

 Adaptations are the way an animal’s body is formed to help it survive in its home environment.  Why do animals survive? To reproduce (create more animals)

Camouflage

Mimicry- adapting to look like something else.

Mimicry

Body Temperature adaptations: Fur vs.Bare Skin

Body Temperature adaptations: Fur vs.Bare Skin

Eating adaptations: Specific vs.Diversity

Water Adaptations:

Appendages (arms and legs): Quadruped (4 legs)vs.Biped (2 legs)

Defensive Adaptations

Natural Selection is the theory that animals who are more adapted to their environment will live longer allowing them to reproduce more and better children.
