Aspects and Rationale Aims Enhance the professional development for English teachers working with NCS students; and Improve literacy levels of students in reading and writing through catering to learner diversity

Objectives To work closely with the school personnel in developing a School-based Curriculum which focus on: Textbook adaptation Teaching of reading through the five strategies Teaching writing through shared writing and process writing Using drama to enhance teaching and learning

Mode of Collaboration with Seed schools Teacher Secondment – one secondee per year, three LETs over three years Option of no Secondment – the school will spare a co-ordinator for taking up the adaptation task with flexible deployment during the week. Environment – storage for Big Books and Guided Readers and notice board for display of students’ work * Please refer to the Information Pack for full details regarding commitment!
