 ENSURE THE CAMPUS HAS TWO ROUTES TO ESCAPE.  POST EVCUATION ROUTES THROUGHOUT YOUR CAMPUS.  INCLUDE POLICE, AND EMERGENCY RESPONDERS AT YOUR TRAININGS.  ENCOURAGE HAVING A ACTIVE SHOOTER SCENARIO AT YOUR CAMPUS.

 FOSTER A RESPECTFUL CAMPUS.  BE AWARE OF YOUR SURRONDINGS AND BE AWARE OF INDICATORS OF VIOLENCE.

To facilitate effective planning for emergencies, it is important to analyze the recent active shooter situation and create an after action report. The report should contain the following:  Response activity  Successes and failures  The effectiveness of your last Emergency Response Plan (ERP).  Making improvements on your old (ERP).

 ALWAYS BE AWARE IF YOUR ENVIROMENT AND ANY POSSIBLE DANGERS.  TAKE NOTE OF THE TWO NEAREST EXITS AT YOUR CAMPUS.  IF YOU ARE IN AN OFFICE, STAY THERE AN SECURE THE DOOR.  IF YOU ARE IN A HALLWAY, GET INTO A ROOM AND SECURE THE DOOR AND BARICADE IT.  AS A LAST RESORT, ATTEMPT TO TAKE THE SHOOTER DOWN, YOUR CHANCE IS GREATER IF YOU TRY TO INCAPACIATE HIM/HER.
