 Jefferson Davis was the President for the Confederate States of America.  He sided with the South.  He was born on June 3, 1808 and died on December 6, 1889.

 This man was born on April 27, He died on July 23,1885 in Mount McGregor, New York.  He was the 18 th President of the United States. He played a role as a general and commander for the Union in the late years of the Civil War.  He was loyal to the Union know as the North.

Robert E. Lee was a General and Colonel for the Southern armies of the Confederate States. His role in the Civil War was commanding the most successful army during the American Revolution. He was for the Southerners know as the Confederate States of America. He was born on January 19,1807, and passed away on October 12,1870.

 This honorable man was born on February 12, 1809 and sadly died on April 15,  He was our 16 th President of the U.S. His main role in the Civil War was by abolishing slavery in the North and making laws for it in the South.  Lincoln sided with the Union, as he tried to preserve it.

He a soldier who fought for his and others freedom. His main role in the Civil War was as a black soldier to fight for the Union that received a honorable medal. He was brought into this world on February 29, 1840 and died on December 8, Being under the category of African American he wanted to fight for the freedom of slaves. Since he wished for this he sided with the Union.

 He was against the Confederate States so he joined the Union.  He was a navy man who received many honorable medals for his accomplishments. His role in the Civil War was fighting in the Battle of Fort Fisher during the Civil War.
