Math 116

Math 116 is not like any math class you have taken….. Colleague had attended a meeting at the U. of Arizona in conjunction with MAA (Mathematical Association of America) Meeting of Deans in Business Dept and Math faculty from different universities and colleges Discuss what are the mathematics that a business student should learn.

Consensus Develop quantitative and analytical skills to solve business problems. Comfortable in using technology for analysis and communication Realistic business problems and real-world data sets Team work

Working in Teams We will work on the mathematics that revolve on these two projects: a. Loan Foreclosure b. Stock Option Forecasting & Retirement Plans We will significantly use Excel, Word & Powerpoint (need to take Math 298B) Oral Presentations and Written Report by teams of three to four. NOTE: If you cannot commit to this kind of work or the amount of time to be spend outside class, please drop this class and take a different class.

Go over syllabus carefully and ask questions. Sign the syllabus agreement form. Fill out Team Assignment Form. Get the textbook. (Perfect Copy on Broadway & Olive St) Start reading.
