Mood Disorders and Gender Mood disorders are very prevalent in our society, with close to 8% of the North American population afflicted. As with most psychological disorders, there is a difference in prevalence between the two genders; females are twice as likely to suffer from a mood disorder as males are. Why do you think this is??
