Digital Platform Social Services ERRIN Health Project Development Session 25 th November 2014

Who we are Skåne Association of Local Authorities – lead organisation for the 33 local authorities in Skåne, Sweden Department of Social Services, health and welfare Main areas of expertise: monitoring the local authorities interests within all areas of activity, promoting interaction between local authorities, assisting local authorities in the development of their activities Part of the Regional Supportstructure for knowledge development within social services

What our idea is Creating a digital tool serving as a platform for connections and contacts between the municipalities and the universities within the area of development of social services. Example: a municipality wishes to do a follow-up research on possible improvements on how to reduce the night fasting time for the elderly. They describe their idea in a digital tool which can be read by students – and contact can be established between the municipality and the university. Today there is no natural gathering point/platform where municipalities can interact with students/researchers within the area of social services.

What our idea is – cont. The digital tool should fill the gap between the societal challenges of the social services sector and the ideas and research brought forward from students and researchers. Main objectives: creating a simplified, inspiring and structured communication tool between municipalities and universities in the area of socialservices and health and welfare. No specific call at the moment! Will take on the role as leadpartner: hosting the digital support, project management.

Whom we are looking for Project partners within research institutes, universities, municipalities, companies (ICT). No geographical preference. Expertise needed: Technical solutions, method development and experience within research and practical work of different areas within social services.
