Charter Mission – To provide Berea College with heat and cooling in a highly efficient manner along with the highest level of customer service. Process Description – Service technicians search the tool storage room at Central Plant for tools and materials needed to perform a repair. Problem Statement – Because the tools and materials were not organized by size, type or function, the search consisted of looking through all drawers and cabinets. The search was only narrowed by experience and how recently it was last used. Organizing the tools and materials by size, type and function reduces search time and identifies lost / broken tools. Sponsor – Wayne Orr Process Owner – Diane Zekind Team Lead – Taylor Fagin Facilitator – Jonathan Taylor Team – Taylor Fagin, Austin Haaff , Makara Hann, Diane Zekind, Mike Alexander, Tim Alexander, Saben Blair, Richard Smith, Logan Gardner, Erin Powers, Jonathan Taylor IT solutions around the corner?
