Noble Gases Is the general name for the elements found in group 18 of the periodic table.

 The elements in group 18 have very or no reactivity because their molecular structure shows the outside energy level of electrons to be full.

Krypton Does NOT kill superman Krypton can be used in small bright flashlight bulbs or lights on an airport runway It is the standard measure of a meter

Helium This element when inhaled tightens vocal cords (ex. This is why your voice changes when sucking air from helium balloons) Video

Helium is mixed with oxygen in scuba diving tanks because it is less soluble in divers blood than nitrogen

When Neon is used in electric lights in combination with colored bulbs it creates a rainbow of glowing light bulbs These lights are common in Vegas

Argon This gas has been used in common white light bulbs. It lengthens the life of the filament.

Xeon Used in CAT scanners

Radon This gas is a health hazard in homes It is a carcinogen

Hydrogen *Highly explosive at high temperatures *99% of universe is made of this *May become the future fuel for automobiles *May be the fuel for cold fusion *May have been the cause for Hindenburg to crash
