Product Must solve an actual problem Includes at least three different IT skills multimedia and graphics web design networking office productivity (e.g. spreadsheets) etc.
Report 2,000 – 2,500 words ~ 4-5 pages single-spaced Follows assessment criteria outline (next slide) Includes screenshots, graphics, and/or other visual documentation Weekly or bi-weekly deadlines
Report Outline I. Identifying the problem within a social context II. Analysis and feasibility study III. Planning and developing the chosen IT solution IV. Testing and evaluating the solution V. Assessing the social significance of the product

What do you do now? By the end of Thursday, have a problem ready. Examples: The Arlington-Alexandria Coalition for the Homeless wishes to promote its services. The Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing has difficulty managing all the applications (hardcopies). Students and teachers at W&L print too much! Excessive automobile traffic at the front of W&L in the morning. Junkyards are piling up with used computer equipment
