RESEARCH QUESTIONS What is “the language of innovation” of Israeli teacher educators? In what ways does it express a new kind of educational reality? Or, is it a semantic habit that gives expression to the socio-economic trends and ideologies? IMAGES MOTIVATIONQUESTIONS BACKGROUND METHOD FINDINGS SUMMARY Levy & Baratz, October 16, 2015

THEORETICAL BACKGROUND  Language and ideology (i.e. Cameron, 2006; Eisenberg-Kenah, 2004)  Ideology of teacher educators and its influence on their attitudes (Perrotta, 2013, Baratz & Levy, in press)  Innovations – ideological trends (i.e. Rogers, 2002) IMAGES MOTIVATION QUESTIONSBACKGROUND METHOD FINDINGS SUMMARY Levy & Baratz, October 16, 2015

THEORETICAL BACKGROUND When speaking of ideology, we assume a habitus of people sharing an environment that allows for a common understanding and interpretation of orientations and beliefs.
