AGENDA Objective/Warm-up Fish Bowl Critiques/Papers Options for Tracking Sources and Taking Notes Outlining Closure

Objective/Warm-up Objective: Students will define techniques of notetaking and will construct a work cited page in order to prepare for written speeches. Warm-up: Take about fifteen minutes to read and highlight information about your speech.

Options for Tracking Sources… Turn to page 61 of your high school writing student guide. There are three formats you must complete today. The assignment will be turned in for a grade. – Cornell Note Format – Note Card Format – Commentary Format Every student must have at least two sources.

Options for… Each student must include a learning log and will include the following question: Which style of notetaking is most effective for me and why?
