Interactive Control in Engineering Projects Electronics and Control

To days Challenge !! Design a model Electric Hand Dryer suitable for use in an Engineering Room.  The dryer should activate automatically when a person places their hand near the air flow and automatically switch off after a set period of time.  Visual indicators are required to show that the unit is operational or in standby mode.  The design should also include a means of visually inspecting any electronics or mechanisms used.  The model must operate on a voltage supply of 9V or lower and must not exceed 300 mm x 300 mm in size.
