Why Use Liberating Structures Liberating Structures are departure from normal habits, traditions, and culture. They create space for innovation and are designed to include everyone’s voice. There are many liberating structures – today we will use one called TRIZ!

TRIZ – Second Step Is there anything on this list that we currently practice, even remotely? Is there an element of truth in here? Now: Circle the ones that you are doing, even remotely Cross out the ones that you are not doing EVER.

TRIZ – Third Step Go through your list of identified truths: Separate into themes What actions could you take to address?

With the person next to you … Reflect on these questions: What have we learned today about our current practice? Where are we doing well? Where is the potential for improvement? What actions can we take….or what steps can we take to make a change/do things differently. Write these ideas on individual stickie notes – we will be using them in our next session!
