ALL ABOUT MOON PHASES BY: JEANETTE SI

The Moon Phases Do you know why the moon is sometimes a crescent? Moon phases is the thing! It controls how the moon looks like. You are just about to learn about moon phases, and they are just awesome!

How the Moon Changes The moon changes because the sun shines on the earth, and its shadow cuts off part of the moon. Think of a shadow that big! To the right of this slide, you can see the the cycle of how the moon looks like.

The Order that the Moon Changes In The moon is always changing in an order. The crescent is always first. Next goes the half moon. Then the 3/4 of a moon, then the full moon. Then it goes back again. I wonder......

The Moon’s Original Shape Do you know that the moon is really shaped like a sphere? Like I said, the moon’s looks changes, but not the original shape. That’s what moon phases are about!
