 Buddhist teachings called the “Dharma”  No self satisfaction or self torture = Nirvana  Nirvana = Healthy body, not starved/overfed.  To live is to suffer  The cause of suffering is desire  Stop suffering = live moderately

 Not to steal  Not to take lives  Not to lie  Not to use intoxicating substances

 Give up money  Avoid Desires  Meditate for hours a day  Take a bow of celibacy  Overcome the fear of death  Try to live a moderate life.
