Geography The total area in Spain is 194,897 square miles. It is the second largest country in Western Europe and the European Union. Back

People The population in Spain is 40,525,002 people. In Madrid the capital there is 5,130,000 people in the metro area. Barcelona, has 1,528,800 people because of it’s tourism. Life expectations for women are about 83 years old. Men live to be about 76. The births and deaths occur about every 1,000 people. Back

Traditions In 2004 Barcelona declared itself an anti- bullfighting city, because of the bulls death. A myth in 1628 has it that a lizard of Jaen eats the local village people if they go to the local fountains. So every year they celebrate the knight who scared it away. Back

Fun Fact Hot Chocolate in Spain is served very thick and very chocolaty – almost like warm pudding! Spain has over 8,000 kilometers of beaches. Back

Holidays Spain has many of the same holidays as us. One of there unique holidays is on October 31 it’s called the Day of the Dead where they commemorate there dead loved ones Back

Education They have 6 hours of school like us, and go to school 5 days of the week.
