El Matador: star bullfighter

Los Picadores: lancers on horseback armed with spears

Los Banderilleros: bullfighters on foot with barbed wooden decorated sticks

Procedure Preliminary Phase: El Matador assesses the bull’s agility, intelligence, dangers, sight and strength.

Procedure First Stage: Los Picadores plunge the lance into the bull’s neck.

Procedure Second Stage: Los banderilleros advance to insert barbed wooden decorated sticks into the bull’s neck muscle.

Procedure Final Stages: 1. El matador asks for permission to perform and kill the bull. 2. El matador creates a series of passes with red cape, bringing the bull closer to his body for the eventual kill.

Procedure The Kill: El matador inserts his sword between the shoulder blades( 肩胛骨 ) and into the bull’s heart.

Procedure Finale: 1. If el matador performs well and makes a clean kill, he will be awarded the bull’s ears or tail. 2. The half-dying bull is quickly pulled out of the arena by horses and distributed for sale.
