Call Home After 3 days absent, call home. Document your efforts in the Diligent Effort Log (step 1) and your compiled call log. Search through SMS to find additional numbers. Reach out to Special Ed office for students receiving services for additional contact information.

Student Contracts Complete Attendance Contracts students. May be done after phone call home for 3 days absent. May be done tomorrow just because. These contracts are supporting documentation when we pursue these cases outside of school.

Letters Home After a student has missed your class 10 times, send a letter home. A sample letter is provided in the Attendance Binder. Document this in the Diligent Effort Log (step 2) and your compiled call log. Write your name above the Heritage Stamp on the envelope.

SST Referral Once the letter is returned, place it in your attendance binder and refer the student to Ms. Henson for SST. If the student is receiving Special Education services, refer them to their case manager, not Ms. Henson. Record your reference to Ms. Henson in your Diligent Effort Log (step 3) and document in your compiled call log.
