Remarks from LNFSC and CSN1 Offline status/priorities discussed at closed session of LNFSC (24 May) –Need for prompt MC04/05 production emphasized by LNFSC members –Requests for additional CPU and disk space supported Requests for computing upgrades discussed with KLOE CSN1 computing referees yesterday (8 Jun) –6 new 4-way 1.5 GHz Power5 1 Power5 = 8 B80  new machines equivalent to 192 B80s Total KLOE computing power 200  392 B80s –20 TB of additional disk space for DST staging Requests will be discussed at the next CSN1 meeting in Trieste 6-7 Jul One strong possibility purchase 2 of 6 boxes now –No gara needed, machines could arrive in less than 1 month

Update on MC04-05 (1/3) New interaction region –CB implemented, needs test, timescale? Attenuation lengths vs endcap module numbers –CB attentuation lengths reversed. CLUADJUST correction? Energy scale calibration –Need to clarify above correction. Who? Regeneration and nuclear interaction –CB has divided interaction code for EmC and other regions –Who will test? Timescale? Other offline activities Reprocessing: –To date 85 pb -1 of 2002 have been reprocessed (from run to 25000) –We switch to all the CPUs in the last days (during the DAFNE shutdown), with a rate of 10pb-1/days –We will continue…. False dead wires list: –Last week the correct list of dead channel for 2001/02 was inserted in the DB. At the moment we use test tables. Dcdelete can read test tables or normal –We started the submission of physmon for 2004.
