2010/2011 Lab Project

Lab Project Consist of Two Parts Demo Viva Total Marks Final Exam: 50% Test (2x) : 20% Lab Report: 10% Lab Test: 10% Lab Project: 10%

Lab Project: Title Design of LabVIEW-based Egg Hatchery Monitoring and Control System using NI USB-6008/6009

Lab Project: Objective To design a VI that able to monitor environment parameter that affecting egg hatchery To design a VI that able to control egg hatchery parameter To use data acquisition module to perform both monitor and control task

Lab Project Task Acquire Temperature Data from LM35 (Analog Input) Control Light Dimming by varying voltage from 0V to 5V based on temperature value Acquire Humidity Data from Humidity Sensor SN- HMD (Analog Input) Control Humidity Level by Turning On/Off Fan (Digital Output) Send a Pulse to a micro-controller twice a day (day 1 to 17) based on pre-determined time (Digital Output) All process should be completed within 21 days

Lab Project: NI USB 6008/ Analog Input 2 Analog Output 12 Digital I/O

Lab Project: LM35 3-wire -Vcc -Vout -Gnd

Lab Project: SN HMD 4-pin -Gnd -Humidity -Vcc -Temperature

Lab Project: Marking Temperature Acquisition – 10% Light Control – 10% Humidity Acquisition – 10% Fan Control – 10% Time Setting – 10% Pulse Generation – 10% Overall System – 10% Readability – 10% Q&A during Viva – 10%

Lab Project: Group & Duration Each group consist of 2 person Start: Week 11 (21/03/2011) End: Week 13 (4/4/2011)
