Suzie Student Ms. Brauneis Eng II- 4 November 8, 2011 Ender’s Game Ch. 6 Infer how the Giant’s Drink will play a role in Ender’s maturity during Battle School. With evidence validate how Alai demonstrates the trait of an unbiased leader. It proves how Ender will perform in an actual battle, by thinking of all possibilities to defeat his enemy. “Everybody gets the Giant sometime. But Ender won’t leave it alone” (Card 54). In Chapter 6 Alai models an unbiased side through the fact that being Bernards best friend he still treats ender with respect. He is not a follower of Bernard. Also he cordially works with Ender, in the battle room. “ Bernard’s best friend, Alai” (Card 57) and“ ender held out his hand.. Alai took the shock of impact and helped Ender” (Card 59)“ender and Alai were friends” (Card 61)

Suzie Student Ms. Brauneis Eng II- 4 November 8, 2011 Ender’s Game Ch. 6 Elaborate on how Alai contributed to ending the separation between Ender and Bernard. Interpret how Ender and Alai figured out the effects of the freeze guns. Evaluate how the encounter with the Giant affects Ender. “Alai was the Bridge” that entered the division between “Bernard’s in-group and Ender’s outcasts” (Card 62). Ender and Alai experiences the uses of the freeze guns by shooting each other in the foot. “Let’s shoot each other… They did. Immediately Ender felt the leg of the suite grow stiff, immobile at the knee and ankle joints” (Card 60). After playing Free Play, Ender accidentally kills the Giant, making him feel like Peter. “I’m a murderer, even when I play. Peter would be proud of me” (Card 65).

Suzie Student Ms. Brauneis Eng II- 4 November 8, 2011 Ender’s Game Ch. 6 Analyze how killing the Giant makes Ender believe he his like Peter. It reminds him of how violent Peter is and how killing the giant might have been pleasurable to Peter. “I’m a murderer… Peter would be proud of me” (Card 65).
