What is Culture? Culture is the way of life of a group of people who share similar beliefs and customs.

What is important in our culture?

Cultures Civilizations are highly developed cultures. When cultures spread their knowledge and skills from one area to another, it is a process known as Cultural Diffusion.

Government The kind of government, or political system, a society has reflects its culture. Authoritarian Systems- One Ruler, unlimited power. Democracy- Citizens choose their leaders by voting.

Language Languages spoken in a cultural region often belong to the same cultural family. Similar languages Romance languages- Latin, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, Romanian.

Religion Religion is an important part of cultures. Some of the major world religions include: BuddhismChristianityHinduismIslamJudaism

Economy Every society has an economic system. Economic systems tells how people produce goods, what goods they produce, and how those goods are then bought and sold. Free Enterprise- people can start and run their own business with little government interference. Socialism- the government sets goals, may run some businesses and tends to have a central role in the economy.
