Physical Description The bald eagle has a white head, long beaks, a wide brown body, big wings and sharp claws.

Habitat Do you know where the bald eagle lives? Bald eagles live in mountains, swamps, jungles, lakes and deserts. Bald eagles can be found on every continent except Antarctica. Bald eagles live in mountains, swamps, jungles, lakes and deserts. Bald eagles can be found on every continent except Antarctica. Bald eagles can survive in all of the habitats because feathers help it fly. Talons grip trees tight so it won’t fall off a branch.

Defense Do you know how a bald eagle defends itself? One way the bald eagle defends itself is using its talons as a weapon. Another way the bald eagle defends itself is it could fly away from danger. Finally the bald eagle defends itself by building nests in the tallest trees on cliffs.

Prey Slurp…slurp…slurp! The bald eagle eats its prey. The bald eagle eats fish and other animals. The bald eagle preys on fish. The bald eagles preys on rabbits, turtles, ducks and geese. The bald eagle eats dead animals also.

Predators Swish…swish…swish! The bald eagle can fly away from its predators. The bald eagle has no natural predators but humans. Some humans use poison to kill insects. This poison kills bald eagles too. Electric shocks from power lines kill bald eagles. Some people hunt bald eagles for game.

Interesting Fact Do you know some interesting facts about the bald eagle? Here are some interesting facts. The bald eagles toes can stretch and bend. Their toes pick up and hold food. The bald eagle has small and rough bumps on its toes to hold slippery fish. The bald eagle dives at speed 150 to 200 miles per hour when catching prey.

Now this is the end of my report. I had a fun time researching the bald eagle. It is a fun animal to research. If you need to pick a animal pick the bald eagle. What did you learn a lot about the bald eagle?
