Jird Adaptations of the jird by: Rushi, Max, Marcus and Brandon

Jird

Engineer Structures: 4 legs, 1 mouth, 16 claws, 2 ears, 2 eyes, 1 tail, 2 wings, a head, teeth, a nose, a camouflage coat and fur. Important body parts: A mouth and sharp teeth help them to tear meat apart. Wings help them fly to hunt prey and avoid predators. It is also a vertebrate. Our animal reproduces by mating and giving birth to live young.

Psychologist Behavior: A Jird climbs trees to stay safe and hide their food. What the animal looks like: looks like a jaguar with wings. It can fly and hunt at the same time, it could climb or fly up a tree.

Nutritionist What it eats: It eats fish, turtles, and any other meat. The animal is a carnivore. It bathes in water and runs through it.

Environmentalist Habitat: It can live in trees. It can also live in part of the United States and South America. The animal is warm-blooded.

Interesting Facts If a predator is chasing after it, it can fly up a tree. The Jird is a very good climber and flyer. When a Jird is threatened by a predator it goes by the Jird code which is run, hide, become an invisible shadow and slip away.
