3 Chapter 1: –Be able to explain the meaning of globalization and the concepts Globalization of markets Global products Global customers Globalization of production Global companies –Be able to identify and describe the functions of the primary global institutions and their origins in the Great Depression –Be able to explain the three drivers of globalization and why they have contributed to globalization. Be able to explain how these three drivers are evident in Freidman’s article “It’s a Flat World, After All,” the Ikea case, and Chapter 1 Discussion Question No. 7, p. 39 –Be able to discuss all aspects of the Globalization Debate, pp –Think about the Tom Friedman article “It’s a Flat World, After All” and the class discussion of the article to be able to summarize its contents and explain its implications for college graduates and their future careers
