Tides What causes the tides?

High Tides ● The gravitational pull of the Moon causes the tides. ● Water bulges on the side facing the Moon. ● The Earth is pulled towards the Moon leaving a bulge of water on the opposite side of the Earth.

Tides ● Areas that bulge are high tide. ● Other areas are experiencing low tide

The Tides ● Most places experience two high and two low tides each day ● Tides travel around the world in the same direction as the sun (east to west)
