The Story of limate hange

Lots of people demand for stopping climate change

So what exactly is the climate change? Before we talk about the climate change we must fully understand the

The natural cycle & greenhouse gases

How human activities are changing our climate ? CO2

The impact of climate change

 Water: rising tides and increased scarcity  Agriculture: hunger and loss  Disrupting ecosystems: climate change to kill up to 1 million species  Changing weather patterns: creating unnatural disasters  Human health: disease  A vicious cycle

So does it really matter ?

Egypt only !!! If you still think it doesn’t matter, may be you are right because it is just 1.5 million Egyptians will be displaced 2.5% of landmass will be lost

The Politics of limate hange

What needs to happen? we need an immediate 60-90% cut in carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions in order to prevent further damages

Principal political actions so far:  1979 First World Climate Change Conference.  1988 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).  1990 First IPCC Scientific Assessment Report.  1992 Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro - United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) created.  1993 UNFCCC ratified by just 50 countries  1997 Kyoto Agreement.

Think global act local So what about Egypt? After ratifying the Kyoto Protocol, Egypt could gain $20 million annually by trading its low emission certificates with countries like India whose emissions exceed the average. It can also benefit from international cooperation in the adoption of clean energy production methods, to reduce emissions further, and the sharing of clean technology expertise, know-how and capabilities

I guess you still wondering who are we !!!
