THE FISHING LINE We ‘re off to an exciting school year with 90 students coming throughout the week to be a part of Little Fishers Preschool. We have a couple of new teachers on staff. Ms. Melissa Snyder is a 2-year-old teacher, and Ms. Therise Perez is the M/W/F teacher for the Pre-K class. We are very blessed to have them added to our already gifted staff. John Hanson, Pastor Mac, Ms. Susan, and I will start chapel on September 19 th. We will rotate doing the Chapel talks. We are asking parents to please hold off attending Chapel until sometime in October so we can get our students comfortable with the routine before they see parents appear in Chapel. I will give an “all clear” on the message board when we feel the children will be okay. Parents, please be patient, as this is an adjustment for your son/daughter. Please realize that they will come home tired, so remember to get them to bed earlier so they will feel well rested. WHAT’S COMING UP? We will have a new feature this year that will allow you to access the coupons using an app on your phone. This will save you from having to always have your book on hand if you’ve left it in the car, as I’ve done so many times! The class that sells the most books will have a pizza party! If you do not wish to purchase the book or sell it to someone, please return it in its original condition. If the book is damaged or misplaced, you will be billed for the cost of the book. Volume 4 Issue 1 Have you seen our new signs on Austin Pkwy and throughout the campus? A huge “THANK YOU” to our parents who worked with the staff to fundraise last year, and gave up their precious time to make our school the best. We have added more playground equipment and made some purchases for the classrooms as well. PLEASE ARRIVE AT SCHOOL BY 9:00AM TO START THE DAY, AND PLEASE REMEMBER TO CHECK YOUR CHILD IN AND OUT DAILY. BEGINNING NEXT MONDAY, YOU WILL BE CHARGED A $10 FEE FOR FAILURE TO CHECK YOUR CHILD IN/OUT. Please bring your child with you so that they can share with you their classroom daily activities. This will give you an idea of the various curriculums we use. It is so important to communicate with your child’s teacher and to understand what goes on in the classroom. I would love to see a great turnout with 100% participation!! A Monthly Message From The Director 9/10/2012 Our staff will be implementing “Peaceful Touch”. What is “Peaceful Touch”? We would like to invite you to an informational meeting with the instructor, Kimberli Ripley. She trained our staff last month and we are very excited about the program and want to share with our families. The meeting will be Thursday, September 6:30pm in our Fellowship Chapel. We hope you find this meeting informative and helpful with your children. Mark your calendar for our Spirit Night at Spring Creek Bar-B-Que on Thursday, October 18 from 5-9. Spring Creek is on Hwy 6 across from Popeyes/HEB in Missouri City. Little Fishers gets a percent of ALL sales that night, so come out and enjoy some delicious food!
