June 6, 2012 Washington State HR Managers Meeting DES Training Updates Educational Partnerships HELP Academy Training HR Professional Development Topics:

Educational Partnerships  Brandman University (Chapman University System) (15%).  University of Phoenix (10%); additionally, University of Phoenix can help transition valuable training programs and other academic experiences learned outside the classroom into elective credits through the Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) process.  Western Governors University (10%) tuition discount and Application fee waiver (a $65 savings). Additional educational institutions have expressed an interest and desire in offering state employees similar benefits. The Department of Enterprise Services has entered into a number of agreements with universities dedicated to providing high-quality educations to working men and women. These universities have provided access to their courses, certificate programs and degree programs at discounted prices.
