Connect Aveda

Development of Educator Teams by: 1. Inspiring accountability 2. Clinic floor operations 3. Coaching the service wheel

The Goal of Connect Aveda Graduate students with the core competencies that will make them successful in their career.

We teach Connect Aveda… …what does that mean?? Your Educators have been taught current, system-based product knowledge through Product-ivity training. Your Educators have learned the 6 steps of effective coaching in Inspired Coaching. All Educators have a copy of the Connect Aveda Educator and Student Guides. All new students receive Connect Aveda Student Guide and complete the workbook during their classroom phase. The Service Wheel Delivery is being utilized in the classroom with models and role plays as well as on the clinic floor with all guests. You track and communicate daily/weekly student/Educator results with RPST and SPST to hold them accountable. You have weekly Educator meetings where Educators speak to their results. “Last week I achieved (result) because (behavior). This week I am focused on (behavior to achieve results).” You coach your Educators on how to hold students accountable to their results. You hold your Educators accountable for the clinic floor checkpoint behaviors. You submit your quarterly benchmarks.

1

Checkpoint 1 Introduce yourself to the guest. Explain institute process to guest. Conduct the technical consultation using the service wheel and portfolio. Ask for agreement on the result of the service with student and guest. Conduct a home care consultation reviewing the Puresctription™ Pad. Ask student and guest if they have any questions. Instruct student to begin service. Remind guest you will return to check the progress.

2 1

Checkpoint 2 Conduct a technical check while you verbalize what you are looking for as you check the work. Ask the guest for feedback. Ask the student what product system and techniques they will use to style the hair and why. Instruct student to begin the styling process. Remind the guest you will return to ask for feedback.

2 3 1

Checkpoint 3 Ask the guest if they are satisfied with the outcome as you perform a final check on dry hair. Ask the student if they have any questions. Ask the student to step away for a few minutes while you complete the guest survey. Ask the student to return. Thank the guest for coming to the Aveda Institute. Ask the student to take the guest to checkout. Review the service and guest feedback with the student. Give student final grade.
